Our history
Three generations of stainless steel
From our first winemaking machines to tanks built on site and olive mill machines: more than eighty years in the trade, always in Campobello di Mazara.
- 1943
The business begins in Campobello
Michele Guarnotta, who had worked since boyhood in the Faso workshops in Palermo, builders of winemaking machinery, moves to Campobello di Mazara at the invitation of local producers and, together with a partner, sets up his own business building winemaking machines.
- 1950s
The first workshop
He buys a plot of land and builds his own workshop with the help of the townspeople.
- 1990
The second generation
His son Gaetano joins the company. We grow in the regional market and make our first deliveries abroad.
- 2000
The new factory
When the founder dies in 1999, the company passes to Gaetano. The following year we move to our current 15,000 m² premises and buy the equipment to manufacture tanks.
- 2022
The third generation and the olive mill
Michele, Gaetano’s son, joins the company and we start manufacturing olive mill machines.
- 2025
More space, new machinery
We buy the adjacent plot, another 18,000 m², bringing the total to 33,000 m², and upgrade our machinery, starting with laser cutting.
- 2026
Enoliexpo, Bari
On stand C37 at the Bari fair we exhibit our olive mill machines and a stainless steel tank.

From design to site
Tanks up to Ø 15 × H 20 m, including tanks built on site, turnkey plants and olive mill machines. Three Bureau Veritas certifications and customers on five continents.

The factory
What we do in-house
Design, cutting, welding and assembly all take place in our own factory.
Design and calculation
Every tank and every plant modelled in 3D, with approval drawings for the customer. FEM studies and simulations for special cases and whenever a seismic design calculation is required.
Cutting and fabrication
12 kW fibre laser cutting machine with a 14 m bed, coil cutting line, plate rolling machines, press brakes and orbital welders: we process all our sheet metal in-house.

Guarnotta Industries S.r.l. is a company based in Campobello di Mazara (Trapani, Sicily), in business since 1943. It designs and builds AISI 304L and 316L stainless steel tanks for olive oil, wine and food liquids, in its workshop or directly on site up to 15 m in diameter and 20 m high, as well as complete turnkey storage plants and olive mill machines: DRF-50 and DRF-100 leaf and twig removers, LVT-50 and LVT-100 olive washers and conveyor belts. It is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 3834 and EN 1090 by Bureau Veritas and has customers on five continents.
