Tanks / Olive pomace

Tanks
for olive pomace.

AISI 304L stainless steel tanks for storing olive pomace at the mill: a steep 45° conical bottom, box-section legs, filling from the top by pump and discharge from the bottom through a DIN 100 butterfly valve, also with a pump to load the trailer.

Pomace does not flow like oil

Pomace is dense and wet: the tank has to let it slide down on its own and discharge it without effort.

45° conical bottom

A much steeper cone than on a tank for liquids, so that the pomace slides towards the outlet without hanging up on the walls.

Box-section legs

Legs in box-section tube, strong enough for the weight of the pomace and as tall as needed for discharging underneath the tank.

Filling from the top

A pump carries the pomace up to the top: it enters from above and the tank fills over its full height.

DIN 100 outlet

Bottom discharge through a DIN 100 butterfly valve, a wide opening suited to a dense product. From there a pump can load the pomace straight onto the trailer.

Frequently asked questions

Pomace tanks

Why does a pomace tank have a 45° conical bottom?

Because pomace is dense and wet and does not flow like a liquid. A 45° cone, much steeper than on olive oil tanks, lets it slide down to the outlet without sticking to the walls.

How is it filled and emptied?

It is filled from the top by a pump and emptied from the bottom through a DIN 100 butterfly valve. The outlet can be connected to a pump that loads the pomace onto the trailer.

What steel are they made of?

AISI 304L stainless steel.

What capacity do they have?

Capacity is made to measure: we design it around the amount of pomace your mill produces and the space available.

How much pomace do you need to store?

Tell us how much you produce in a day during the season, and where the trailer parks.
